Woman to be sentenced for child truancy

A MOTHER who failed to ensure her child attended school regularly will be sentenced at Uxbridge Magistrates Court next Tuesday (8).

Shani Wyatt, 39, of Regents Close, Hayes, did not make sure her son attended Uxbridge High School between April 1 and June 2 this year.

She denied the offence but the court found her guilty in her absence.
